I have been cloth diapering now for 18 months, and I am always on the search to try something new and that could make the process any easier. After trying to use cloth diapers and paper wipes, I decided that it would just be easier to use cloth wipes. Another added cost up front, which I hated since I knew I could buy the Kroger brand wipes and get 100 for $1, but having an extra container next to my changing table that I had to seperate was just becoming a pain, and I was washing most of the paper wipes, which I knew, at some point, may hurt my washer. It was just to easy to keep wiping him and then putting the wipe into the diaper and throwing the diaper in the pail.
So after months of debate, I decided to get cloth wipes. Now the first thing I tried was a liquid solution that I premixed and added to water and go them all wet and into the warmer (yes, I use a wipe warmer to hold my wipes, even in the summer). Then I started buying these cubes, that I diluted into the water. Which is still great, but more expensive, and a little more work. THEN I came across this product called Natural Cheeky Bum Wash. This is a completely different concept and takes NO prep work. This comes in a cute little spray bottle that actually comes out in a mist. The ingredients are all natural and plant based and it really smells wonderful. I still wet my wipes, but now spray this on his bum and wipe it off. Just adding water to my wipes and not prepping saves a tremendous amount of times, especially when the last person that changed baby, does not tell you they used the last wipe (constant thing I struggle with in this household).
Another great thing about this is that you can throw this in your diaper bag and just carry a few dry cloth wipes. I had to use a little more of it for this, but it did save on having to use another wipe bag. I also used it to get cheetos off DS’s hands (although it does not say whether I could do this), but I had nothing else on me and he would have rubbed those hands all over everything in my car.
Pro’s: Easy, Quick, No Mess
Con’s: Cold – DS jumps every time I squirt his bum, and I have been using it 2 weeks.
I think it is a great product. I received one to try and review and in two weeks, you can only see a small amount has been used. It seems like it will last a long time, and is pretty inexpense, and better yet, is completly natural, which is my goal in any products.
